About This Project
Every Project is Unique

The one feature these clients knew they wanted was a large, multi-faceted waterfall focal point. With such a large, blank slate of a yard, they called upon Alderwood experts to take their general request and turn it into a masterful landscape.

Because of the yard's size and the client's desire to keep the addition as natural-looking as possible, Alderwood's architect had to get creative. He designed a multi-layered, interactive water feature to be the focal point while still allowing access to other areas of the yard. To create a seamless transition, our crews had to level the height of the yard so the water feature was viewable from the deck. Although this was the most challenging part of the project, our crews created a natural look by layering the water feature on multiple levels.

The project also included a fire pit "island" using bridge rock across the water feature, paver patio areas for entertaining, and a linear fire pit on the deck. Native plantings, including Japanese maples, evergreen foliage, and plenty of spring and summer-blooming perennials, complete the look.

While this project included plenty of Alderwood-grade elements, its unique execution gave the clients the perfect backyard resort masterpiece.
